Hi there! Summer, suuummer! Although the weather here is quite springlike (which suits me, because I don’t like heat), I have a complete summer feeling. My nail polish selection is of course appropriate: I really like strong, bright colors that cheer me up every time I see them. The Rimmel’s Salon PRO nail polish in a coral shade Cocktail Passion is the best choice at the moment, because it’s completely opaque, and not to mention that it’s extremely long lasting! I have big problems with the durability, so I was really surprised. Two coats over a base coat last almost three days, which is a big achievement :) I can’t wait to buy another shade …

Živjo! :) Poletje, poleetje! Čeprav je vreme malenkost spomladansko (kar meni ustreza, saj ne maram vročine), se počutim popolnoma poletno. Izbira lakov za nohte je seveda temu primerna: uživam v močnih, živih barvah, ki me vedno razveselijo, ko jih zagledam. Rimmlov lak Salon PRO v koralnem odtenku Cocktail Passion je zame trenutno najboljša izbira, saj je popolnoma prekriven, poleg tega pa izjemno obstojen! Res imam velike probleme pri obstojnosti lakov, tako da sem bila res prijetno presenečena. Z dvema nanosoma nad podlakom je obstojen skoraj tri dni, kar je zame velik dosežek :) Komaj čakam, da kupim še kakšen odtenek …

I’ve been using foundations with a lot of coverage for probably more than five years and I’m some sort of tired of them at the moment. My skin has improved quite a bit in this time, so I decided to try a BB cream because I don’t need a full coverage all the time. Since every single thing has its history and I didn’t know much about BB creams, I decided to “investigate” their origins. In the 1960s, a German dermatologist, Mrs. Schrammek, formulated BB cream to protect the patient’s skin after different facial procedures. The one thing I’ve been surprised by is the fact that these creams reached the West after being extremely popular in Asia! Well, since I don’t intend to spend a fortune on a cream/foundation that I won’t even use in the end, I bought the Balea BB cream. It comes in only one shade which can be quite universal in summer, but girls with a lighter skin tone would nevertheless have to reach for a lighter shade. It also contains SPF, but there is no further information about it on the packaging.

Verjetno že več kot pet let neprestano uporabljam zelo prekrivne podlage, tako da sem se jih že malenkost naveličala. Ker se mi je v tem času tudi koža malo popravila, sem se odločila, da dam priložnost BB kremi, saj včasih ne potrebujem najbolj prekrivne podlage. Ker ima vsaka stvar svojo zgodovino in ker o BB kremah nisem vedela ničesar, sem se odločila, da malo pobrskam po internetu. V 60. letih prejšnjega stoletja je BB kremo izumila nemška dermatologinja, ga. Schrammek, za zaščito kože pacientk (tudi pacientov?) po raznih posegih na obrazu. Najbolj pa sem bila presenečena, da je so te popularne kreme Zahod dosegle šele po tem, ko so postale izjemno moderne v Aziji! Ker ne želim zapravljati celega premoženja za kremo/podlago, za katero sploh ne vem, če jo bom uporabljala, sem kupila kar Baleino BB kremo. Ima samo en, precej temen odtenek, ki je za poltene mesece verjetno kar univerzalen, za zimske mesece pa bi morala dekleta s svetlejšim tenom poseči po svetlejši kremi. Vsebuje tudi zaščitni faktor, vendar bolj podrobnih informacij na pakiranju ni.

For me, this BB Cream is nothing but a cream – I have to apply it at least twice to see any difference (which can be probably seen only by me). It’s quite dense, but fades away quickly when applied on the skin. In addition, the scent is very strong and long-lasting, I’m not sure whether I like it or not. Even though it has SPF, I assume it’s not very strong and wouldn’t use it when I’m out. I’ll probably use it up, but I’m not thrilled about it. However, I most definitely recommend it to those without any skin problems that just want to even out their skin tone.

Zame je Baleina BB krema le krema – nanesti jo moram vsaj dvakrat, da se na koži vidi majhna razlika, ki jo verjetno opazim le jaz. Sicer je precej gosta, vendar se na koži zelo hitro razporedi in izgine. Poleg tega ima res zelo močen in obstojen vonj po papaji, za katerega nisem ravno prepričana, da mi ustreza. Sicer vsebuje zaščito za sonce, vendar verjetno ni preveč močna, tako da je ne bi nanesla, če bi bila dalj časa izpostavljena soncu. Kremo bom verjetno bom porabila, vendar nad njo nisem preveč navdušena, jo pa vsekakor priporočam tistim, ki s kožo nimajo problemov in si želijo le majhnega uravnavanja tena kože.

Alverde products surprise me over and over again apart from a few exceptions. My most recent purchase is their face oil with wild rose for dry and sensitive skin. My skin is neither dry nor sensitive, but I nevertheless decided to try it out. In the instructions it says that you should apply a few drops of oil on a cleansed skin and rub it in. Then you can use make up as usual, but I don’t trust oils before using makeup, so I rather use it in the evening. The oil has a strong rose scent that wears off quite quickly. The scent doesn’t bother me, but I know that many don’t like that. My dog smelled it too and decided to check it out personally :)

Razen nekaj manjših izjem me izdelki znamke Alverde vedno znova presenetijo. Moj najnovejši nakup je olje za obraz z divjo vrtnico, namenjeno suhi in občutljivi koži. Moja koža ni ne suha ne občutljiva, vendar sem se vseeno odločila, da ga poskusim. Na navodilih piše, da se nekaj kapljic olja nanese na očiščeno kožo in vmasira. Nato se lahko uporabi ličila, vendar olju pred nanosom ličil ne zaupam, zato ga raje uporabljam samo zvečer. Olje ima sicer precej močen vonj po vrtnicah, ki se kar hitro razdiši. To mene osebno ne moti, vem pa, da nekaterim ne ustreza. Tudi moj kuža ga je zavohal in prišel osebno preverit :)

Although I have mixed skin on my face, the oil makes it really soft and doesn’t make it oily. Given the fact that the oil is really affordable (it costs around € 3) and that it suits my skin, I really recommend it even to those that are a bit more sceptical about using oils. :)

Ne glede na to, da je moja koža mešana, olje kožo naredi mehko in je ne masti. Glede na to, da je olje res cenovno dostopno (stane malo več kot 3 evre) in da moji koži dejansko ustreza, ga resnično priporočam tudi tistim, ki ste glede uporabe olj malo bolj skeptične. :)

My Essie nail polish in the shade Big Spender has been complimented so many times until now. Although the color itself is not that special at all, it is the intensity of the polish that captures attention. The nail polish is completely opaque after the first application. However, I cannot speak about how long the polish lasts, since all polishes chip off the next day despite using a base coat (and top coat). I especially like to match the polish with my Revlon lipstick in the shade Fucsia. Both have already been mentioned in my April Favorites post.

Essie lak za nohte v odtenku Big Spender je že večkrat požel pohvale mnogih deklet. Čeprav barva sama po sebi ni tako posebna, je po mojem mnenju intenzivnost tista, ki vzbuja pozornost. Lak je že z enim nanosom popolnoma prekriven, njegove obstojnosti pa žal ne morem preceniti, saj se laki z mojih nohtov kljub nanosu podlaka (in nadlaka) po enem dnevu pričnejo krušiti. Lak najraje kombiniram z Revlonovo šminko v barvi Fucsia, obe pa sem omenila že v aprilski objavi o najljubših stvareh meseca.

Now I’m off to finish the strawberry macarons with chocolate filling. I really hope that I finally succeed today because they were extremely bad the last time :D I will keep you posted about the results later! Have a lovely Friday ♥

Zdaj pa grem dokončat jagodne macaronse s čokoladnim polnilom. Resnično upam, da so mi danes končno uspeli, ker so bili nazadnje prav žalostno slabi :D O rezultatih poročam kasneje! Prijeten petek želim ♥

I’ve had this blusher for a few months and I haven’t used it just because I wanted to show you how pretty it is brand new. Well, I failed to keep the promise to myself and have started using it a few weeks ago :) The blusher (shade 2) comes in a pretty plastic container that looks quite durable (but we’ll see about that when it falls down for the first time!). It has an apricot-y shade when used in small amounts and becomes really pink when applied in more coats. The shade is much less intense on my picture than in reality, but aren’t colors are always different on pictures? :)

To rdečilo imam že nekaj mesecev in ga nisem uporabljala ravno zato, da vam pokažem, kako lepo je, ko je novo. No, to mi ni uspelo, saj ga pridno uporabljam že nekaj tednov :) Rdečilo (odtenek 2) je v prikupni majhni posodici iz plastike in deluje precej močno (oz. bom več o tem vedela, ko mi bo prvič padlo na tla!). V majhnih količinah je marelične barve, če pa ga uporabim malo več, takoj postane močneje roza. Na moji sliki je namreč precej manj močno kot je v resnici, pa saj so barve na slikah vedno malo drugačne :)

The blusher is a little bit shimmery, just the way I like it, and contains its matt texture in bigger amounts. Overall, I really like that I can build the color gradually. Besides, the blush is long lasting, which comes in handy in summer.

Rdečilo se, tako kot je meni všeč, malenkost sveti, vendar tudi v večjih količinah ohrani močno matirano teksturo. Če povzamem, všeč mi je, da se lahko barvo z več nanosi nadgradi. Poleg tega je rdečilo zelo dolgo obstojno in res primerno za poletje.

We are gradually entering a warm and hot season and should focus on our skin all over our body to an even greater extent. Since we will be more and more exposed to the sun, it is important to take additional care for our skin (besides drinking lots of water!). The selection of skincare products is wide and adjusted to the needs of each and everyone. I am going to show you three lotions that I currently use and really do their job.

Počasi prehajamo v toplo in vroče obdobje, zato je pomembno, da pozornost v še večji meri posvetimo koži po celem telesu. Glede na to, da bomo vedno več na soncu, je pomembno, da za kožo (poleg rednega pitja vode!!) še dodatno poskrbimo. Izbira izdelkov za vlaženje kože je res velika, tako da lahko vsaka najde kremo ali losjon, ki ji popolnoma ustreza. Predstavila vam bom tri losjone, ki jih trenutno največ uporabljam in dobro opravijo svoje delo.

The first is the Aldo Vandini body balm. On the package it says that the balm absorbs very quickly and I have to admit that this is the first lotion that abosrbs in no time! It has an amazing tamarind and ginger scent and is great to use with the shower gel from the same line. I use it in the morning, because it absorbs into skin really quickly and does not stick with the clothes.

The second one is the Balea oil lotion with macadamia oil for a very dry skin. The consistency is very thick and greasy, but this is not surprising since it contains 20 % oil. The scent is very gentle and is thus great to use in the evening. I usually massage my legs and my belly to get rid of cellulite :P

The third one is the Balea shimmery body lotion. Besides the fact that it contains small golden glitter, I really like that it absorbs into skin in no time. So, before you head out, you just quickly apply it on your arms, shoulders and under the neck! Plus, the lotion has a very pleasant scent that will stay on for some time. It will be great in summer when I’ll have a bit darker skin tone, the glitter will shine on the evening sun … cannot wait for summer :)

Prvi balzam je znamke Aldo Vandini. Na embalaži piše, da se balzam takoj vpije v kože, in moram priznati, da je to prvi losjon, ki se dejansko ne packa! Vonj je božanski, diši po ingverju in tamarindu in je super v kombinaciji z gelom za prhanje z enakim vonjem. Sama ga uporabljam zjutraj, ker se res takoj vpije v kožo in se ne sprijema z oblačili.

Drugi je Balea oljni losjon za zelo suho kožo z makadamijevim olje. Losjon je zelo gost in malo masten, vendar ni to nič presenetljivega, ker vsebuje 20 % olj. Za uporabo je odličen zvečer pred spanjem, saj ima zelo nežen vonj. Kožo na nogah in trebuhu si še malo zmasiram, da bo šel celulit stran :P

Tretji pa je Balea losjon za telo z bleščicami. Poleg majcenih zlatih bleščic mi je všeč tudi to, da se v kožo zelo hitro vpije. Preden se odpraviš ven, se samo na hitro namažeš po rokah, ramah in dekolteju! Ima tudi zelo prijeten vonj, ki te bo spremljal še nekaj časa. Odličen bo poleti, ko bom imela še malo temnejšo polt, zlate bleščice bodo sijale na večernem soncu … komaj čakam poletje :)
