Christmas and New Year’s Eve Manicure

22. 12. 2014

I’ve been all about glitter for the past two weeks, and this won’t probably change until the holidays are over :)  Let me show you my three favorite festive manicures, all of them are very elegant and thus great for a dinner or a night out. The first step is to apply one coat of basecoat, I usually use the Brodway Nails Nail Strenghtener. Then you can proceed to any of these manicures! :)

Ombre Glitter: First, I applied two coats of the China Glaze nail polish in shade Diva Bride (216). The ombre effect is achieved by applying one thin coat of the Catrice Luxury Lacquers nail polish in shade Bronze Upon A Time starting in the middle of the nail. When it is dry, apply a bit thicker layer on the nail tip.

Glitter French Tips: I applied two coats of a taupe Maybelline Colorama nail polish in shade 165. Then I took the Catrice Luxury Lacquers nail polish in shade Bronze Upon A Time and applied the nail polish horizontally from one side of the nail tip to the other. It is a lot more simple than it might seem! :)

Red Nails and Silver Dots: This festive manicure is by far the easiest to make. I used the Maybelline Colorama red nail polish (15) and applied two coats. Then I took the Revlon nail polish in shade Silver Screen 098 and created small dots on the outer sides of the nails.

The last step is to apply a topcoat, but I rarely do that. My nails chip either way on the second day, so I don’t even put any effort into using it :) My favorite manicure is the first one, a lovely nude color with ombre golden glitter. Which one do you prefer? :) Take care ♥
